Syfy’s ‘Revival’ Comic Book Adaptation Sets Main Cast – “Variety” Exclusive

Former MSCA member Mike Norton is getting a SyFy show based off of his and Tim Seely’s comic series “Revival”..!

Variety just released that the main cast has been set and is led by Melanie Scrofano (“Wynona Earp” star), Romy Weltman, David James Elliott, and Andy McQueen, the series has entered production in New Brunswick, Canada.. (Click here for the full article.)

Revival is an American horror comics series created by writer Tim Seeley and artist Mike Norton. The the serie was published by Image Comics as 47 monthly issues released between July 2012 and February 2017. It has since been reprinted in both paperback and hardcover editions that contain multiple issues. You can find copies of the trade paperbacks (Vol. 1-8) at 901 Comics East.

Set in central Wisconsin, Revival follows the aftermath of the dead coming back to life. Written by Tim Seeley with artwork from Mike Norton, colors by Mark Englert , letters by Crank!, covers by Jenny Frison, and published by Image Comics.

Mike is originally from Jackson, TN, is a graduate of the University of Memphis(Memphis State), and started creating comics and advertising  art while living in Memphis. He moved to Chicago to become the art director of Devil’s Due Comics and then working for Mavel, DC Comics, and many others!

Mike has a huge list of credits ranging from Shazam, The Atom (with Gail Simone), Gravity, Spider-Man, Battlepug, Runaways, Ghostbusters, and Green Arrow. Norton will be back in the M-Town at the Memphis Comic Expo which is downtown this October 26 & 27, 2024. #DonnieConROCKS!
